THREE TYPES OF BACK TENSION RELEASE AIDS TO CHOOSE FROM: the Knuckle Under Series (Hinge-type), the Missing Link (Hinge-type with a safety) and the Dragon Claw (Hook-type)
Bernie's KnuckleUnder (patent #6,945,241B2) is a pure back tension triggerless release and can be used with 3 or 4 fingers. It has a special place on the underside of the handle for the little finger knuckle on the 4 finger, and for the ring finger on the 3 finger model. This helps the archer to draw safely, by placing pressure on the handle with the finger that's on the underside of the handle while the archer pulls primarily with the thumb and index finger. This allows full draw to be reached without worrying about misfires. Once at full draw, the little or ring finger is placed in the regular position on top of the handle and back tension can be used to fire the release. The KnuckleUnder can be used with or without the .010 Click-Cam and comes in 2 designs: 3 or 4 finger and 5 handle designs - "Knuckles", "Dragon", "Curved", the 15% smaller "Small Fry" for the ladies and kids, and the "Straight" handle. Most are available in black, blue, red and silver anodized aluminum, or Solid Brass or Chrome-plated Brass.
All of the KnuckleUnders come with a Spring System which automatically returns the head to the "ready to load" position after firing. The patented Dial-a-Cam makes cam adjustment a 5 second maneuver instead of a 5 minute nightmare.
Bernie's Missing Link (patent #6,l945,241B2) is a pure back tension triggerless release. It has a patented "link" between the head and the handle that allows the archer to draw with the handle disengaged from the head, thus allowing full draw to be reached without worrying about misfires. Once at full draw, the handle is simply rotated until it drops into a slot which "links" the head to the handle and makes it fully operational. Once the link is made, back tension can be used to fire the release. The Missing Link can be used with or without a Click-Cam. This release is also equipped with a patented micro adjustable Dial-a-Cam feature for easy "idiot-proof" cam adjustment. It totally eliminates the guesswork on setting the "travel" or "speed" of the release. Bernie's Missing Link also has a patented system called A.R.M. (Auto Reset Mechanism) which automatically returns the head to the "ready to load" position after firing. Available in 3 or 4 finger models and numerous anodized colors.
Bernie's Dragon Claw is a new concept for our company; that is, no cam, no clicker, no hood and no moving parts. Adjustment is one simple screw. Its concept is simple; an adjustable "claw" (hook) engages the string loop. The shooter draws back to full draw using the adjustable thumb barrel or with their thumb firmly on the body of the release, which acts as a safety and helps keep it from prematurely firing. Once at anchor, the shooter simply drops the thumb off the thumb barrel or release body and starts "back tension".
The Dragon Claw is available in 3 finishes: anodized aluminum, solid brass and chrome-plated brass. Available in 1, 2 and 3 finger design. There is also an optional wrist strap. The adjustable, removable thumb barrel is included with the 2 finger and 3 finger models only. All 1 finger models are reversed because there is no thumb barrel and are shot from the middle finger instead of the index finger. The 1 finger should be shot with the optional wrist strap.
