Stablilizers

Bernie’s new patented “shooter controlled” custom stabilizer/dampening system was going to be called the “ShockBlockin-NoiseTrappin-Flubberized-Modular-Holding-Steadylizer” but then he thought, “Nah, I’ll never get all that on a tee shirt.”

This new “Control Freak™” system has internal modules made from a secret, patented processed elastomer called “Jel-lubber™” that is as soft as Jello® with suspended weights molded inside them. These variable weighted “Jel-lubber™” modules (some with weights inside, some without) are placed inside the stabilizer by the shooter, who can move them around . . . front to back, back to middle etc., to produce a custom balanced stabilizer. The one inch diameter anodized stabilizers come with screw off caps on one end and are available in 4 inch, 5½  inch, 10 inch and 22 inch. Both end caps have o-ring grooves so they can be joined together with a furnished o-ring between them to make a stabilizer as long or short as the shooter prefers. They will be shipped with any weight modules you request from 4 ounces to 24 ounces, depending on the length of the tube.

Also available is a “canister-type” stabilizer/back weight.  The “Control Freak™” canister has a removable top that has a threaded hole on both ends and will accept the 1 inch diameter “Control Freak™” tube stabilizer, or any stabilizer, for that matter. It can also be used as a back weight.

According to Mike Martin, Senior Pro Shooter, “It takes 90% of the vibration out of the shot. It’s the best thing I’ve ever used!” The system works better than conventional stabilizers because the vibration and forward inertia coming from the bow transfers into the suspended weights. The shock and inertia is then dissipated by the jelly-like “Jel-lubber™” compound. These “Jel-lubber™ patties” can be stacked inside the can in any configuration. There is also a patty with all the weight  suspended on one side so you can offset the weight of your sight and your cable guard, thus doing away with your V-bars. These “shock-blocking canisters” are called the “Boss Hog,” “Chubby” and “Pudgy” and come in 2½, 2¼ and 2 inch diameters respectively and are 2 to 2¼  inches tall. They range in weight from 6 oz. to 16 oz. The entire “Control Freak™”  line comes in black, silver and camo.

Bernie has also produced stackable black oxide and stainless steel end weights, offset brackets, and quick disconnects (one regular and one with a 10º drop – see photo next page). Many shooters feel that a 10 degree drop angle on your stabilizer keeps the bow from canting left or right at full draw and makes the bow easier to level up quickly, so you don’t fight the bubble in the level and overhold the shot.

Also available are 1½ inch by 2¼ inch Limb Dampener/Stabilizers. Your limb bolt goes through the bottom of this canister, the “Jel-lubber™” goes on top, and then you simply screw the lid on. These 1½ inch tall “cans” carry a maximum of  8 ozs., plus you can put our stackable end weights on the end of the cap to make your limb stabilizer weigh almost a pound. (By putting one of these on your bottom limb, it will act like a plumb bob and will help to automatically level your bow, which will assist you on un-level ground, side hill shots or in a tree stand.)
